VENDOR INFORMATION

This year, we are looking to expand the festival by inviting vendors (of both food and goods) to share their passion with our festival family.
Attendees have given us feedback that the one thing the Love and Kindness festival is lacking is a variety of vendors whom our attendees can support.

FOOD VENDORS

We love great food and would love to offer our festival-goers a variety of delicious food choices. We also welcome vendors who specialize in beverages such as coffees or cold drinks. Vendor applications are available at the following LINK and must be submitted by July 20, 2017. Vendors who apply after this date will not be considered. Vendors must abide by all festival policies and provincial/federal laws and regulations.

 

LOCATIONS AVAILABLE

We currently have limited space on our property and will be taking into consideration the amount of space your stall/cart/truck needs. The Love and Kindness Festival has approximately 250 to 300 attendees over the course of the weekend, plus volunteers, musicians, and staff members.

 

HOURS OF OPERATION

We require our vendors to be open for a minimum number of hours. Being open these times is important as it has direct impact on the vendors around you. Vendor Hours of operation are 11:00AM to 2:00AM (can be open later) Friday July 28 to 11:00AM to 2:00AM (can be open later) Sunday July 30. The hours are negotiable between these times, however vendors must be open 8 hours per day.

 

FEES

Our basic food vendor fee is $150. Fees may vary based on menu, location, and additional services required. Vendors receive a limited number of festival passes for employees. We require your vendor fee to be paid prior to the application deadline of July 20, 2017. If you require electricity this will come at an additional cost and will be decided and agreed upon following negotiation.

 

SERVICES & FACILITIES

Equipment for food preparation, storage, materials for display, signage, lighting and weatherproofing are your responsibility. Mobile vendors need self contained containers for water and grey water and will have access to water to refill tanks as well as a disposal area for grey water. Propane appliances must meet all applicable codes and be properly installed in consultation with the propane supplier. We encourage the use of biodegradable or “green” cutlery and plates/food containers.

 

SELECTION

Our basis for vendor selection is dependent on what our attendees would like to see. Our festival has variety of folks in attendance with different dietary needs, meaning that we would like to see a variety of options available including vegan/dairy free options. Other important considerations include:

  • Operational and electrical requirements
  • Overall menu and options
  • The business mandate/model
  • Experience with other festivals/events

ARTISAN & CRAFT VENDORS

The Love and Kindness Festival welcomes creative expression and would love to see artisans and crafters sell their wares at the festival this year! We welcome anyone who specializes in certain mediums as a professional artisan and those who prefer to engage in crafting as a hobby. Vendor applications are available at the following LINK and must be submitted by July 20, 2017. Vendors who apply after this date will not be considered.

 

LOCATIONS AVAILABLE

We currently have limited space in our Vendor Village and will be taking into consideration the amount of space you require. The Love and Kindness Festival has approximately 250 to 300 attendees over the course of the weekend, plus volunteers, musicians, and staff members. We cannot guarantee a shaded spot and suggest that you acquire a tent should your items need to be out of the sun.

Vendor Hours of operation are 1:00PM to 8:00PM (can be open before and after) Friday July 28 to 1:00PM to 8:00PM (can be open before and after) Sunday July 30. The hours are negotiable between these times.

Our artisan/crafter vendor fee is $50. Fees may vary based on size requirements, location, and additional services required. Vendors will receive one festival pass per application. We require your vendor fee to be paid prior to the application deadline of July 20, 2017. If you require electricity this will come at an additional cost and will be decided and agreed upon following negotiation.

 

SERVICES & FACILITIES

Equipment for storage, materials for display, signage, lighting and weatherproofing are your responsibility. We encourage the use of biodegradable or “green” bags or containers.

 

SELECTION

Our basis for vendor selection is dependent on what our attendees would like to see. Our festival has variety of folks in attendance who have a deep appreciation for sustainable and ethically sourced materials, meaning we invite you to sell a variety of art, clothing, crafts, or other works that incorporate the use of organic, sustainable, or unique materials. Other important considerations include:

  • Operational and electrical requirements
  • Items that are being sold
  • The business mandate/model
  • Experience with other festivals/events
